THE READINESS OF TEACHERS TO STIMULATE THE ADAPTATION OF MIGRANT CHILDREN TO PRIMARY SCHOOL

Abstract. The article shows the relevance of studying the structure of teachers’ readiness to stimulate the adaptation of migrant children for their further integration into Russian society. The aim is to describe the structure of teachers’ readiness to stimulate the adaptation of migrant children to primary school. Research methods: theoretical (analysis of scientific articles on the problem of adaptation of migrant children to the educational space and the work of teachers to stimulate this process, classification and grouping, generalization of the results obtained), practical methods (questioning of primary school teachers in Novosibirsk, working in grades 2-4 with three or more migrant children, in order to identify the main problems in working with this category of children and their readiness to stimulate their adaptation to Russian education; questioning migrant parents on the problems of interaction with teachers during the period of adaptation of migrant children to the educational environment of the Russian school. The study identifies a number of problems that arise for teachers, migrant parents and their children in the process of stimulating the adaptation of migrant children to primary education. Solving these problems will make it possible to work to stimulate the adaptation of migrant children to primary education at a professional level. The study defines the concept of “stimulating the adaptation of a child to school”, describes the components of teachers’ readiness to stimulate the adaptation of migrant children as a component of professional pedagogical competence, identifies and describes some features and problems of teachers’ readiness to stimulate the adaptation of migrant children to the educational environment.
