Abstract. The article is devoted to the organization and holding of tourist gatherings for schoolchildren, which is an important element of modern education. It examines the key aspects of preparing for the tourist rally, including the choice of venue, the development of the competition program, as well as ensuring the safety of participants. The main attention is paid to the importance of such events for the development of physical skills, intellectual abilities and team spirit among schoolchildren, which contributes to the harmonious development of personality. The article emphasizes that tourist gatherings play a crucial role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and active recreation among young people, which is especially important in the context of modern socio-economic challenges. The article describes all the stages of the tourist rally — from the registration of participants and the draw to the passage of interesting and informative stages of the competition, as well as summing up the results. In addition, the work presents comments and recommendations from the heads of the tourism teams, which focus on the importance of these activities for the physical, intellectual and social development of schoolchildren. The knowledge and skills that participants of tourist gatherings should have are listed. At the end of the work, information is also given about the tradition of initiation into tourists, which each team has its own, depends on the territory of the region, its history and regional features of the event. Thus, the article not only clearly illustrates the organizational aspects of tourist gatherings, but also emphasizes their importance for the formation of a healthy and active lifestyle among young people and patriotic education of the younger generation.
