Abstract. The article is devoted to an important scientific and pedagogical problem – difficult communication among children in adolescence. The author sees the relevance of the identified problem in the emerging contradictions between the increasing level of difficult communication in adolescence and the need to develop a mentally healthy personality, as well as the tasks of forming optimal communication in a teenage environment and the high level of difficult communication that impedes the fulfillment of this task. One of the significant problems in the sphere of interpersonal relations is insufficiently formed communicative competence, which is expressed in the lack of abilities for successful communication, social-perceptual interaction, building normal human contacts with others, etc. Adolescence, of course, contains a biological aspect that manifests itself in puberty, the intensity of which is expressed in a hormonal surge; physical, physiological, psychological changes; sexual attraction has an ambiguous effect on the behavior of a teenager; a rapidly developing organism does not correspond to mental development, which leads to some disorders of the nervous system, frequent mood swings, conflicts in the family, in the classroom, etc. Incredible changes occur in the body of a teenager, manifested in the form of physiological restructuring of the whole organism, intensive puberty occurs, and increased excitability and temper are observed. The consequence of such experiences can be low self-esteem, and sometimes a feeling of inferiority, which also interferes with normal communication with others. A teenage child is unable to suppress the subjective feeling of alienation, as well as the instability of his “I,” as a result of which a lot of personal problems arise in the teenager. One of these problems is the rapid development of sexual desire, which has a tremendous impact on the entire system of motives, experiences, and individual characteristics of the body.

Keywords: raising teenagers, difficult communication, self-esteem of teenagers, personal development of a teenager, overcoming difficult communication.
