Abstract. The state’s request for a modern education system intensifies a pedagogical search aimed at studying the pedagogical resources of various cultures and their separate directions. In response to this request, the pedagogical community turns to the study of various cultural phenomena, including the phenomenon of music and musical creativity.

The theoretical basis of the presented research is based on the ideas of the development of creativity and creative abilities of students in the context of the psychology of personality development B.G. Ananyev, L.S. Vygotsky, P.Ya. Galperin, V.N. Druzhinin, A.V. Zaporozhets, A.S. Leites, J.A. Ponomarev, V.P. Efroimson and others, as well as on theoretical principles about the features of the creative process in children and adults (A.A. Aronov, V.I. Zagvyazinsky, V.S. Kuzin, etc.) and the possibilities of their development in practice. The methodological basis is a humanistic approach to pedagogical activity: pedagogical support (O.S. Gazman), personality-oriented pedagogy (I.S. Yakimanskaya, S.A. Amonashvili, V.P. Bederkhanova), philosophical concept of the axiological nature of art. Research methods: selection and analysis of literature on the problem under consideration, observation, testing, statistical data processing. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the theoretical justification and practical development of the content of musical pedagogical activities aimed at the creative development of students, as well as its structure, consisting of the following components: preparatory stage, implementation stage, cathartic stage and creative stage. The presented results of experimental work can be used as methodological recommendations for teachers of educational organizations on improving work with teenagers and in advanced training and retraining courses for teachers.

Keywords: musical education, musical pedagogical activity, creative development, emotional richness, catharsis.
