Abstract. The article discusses issues related to the scientific foundations of determining the conditions and tasks of psychological and pedagogical support for the adaptation of migrant children to the Russian educational space. Based on the analysis of approaches to understanding adaptation, description of factors and adaptation options, the definition of socio-pedagogical adaptation is formulated. According to the authors, the socio-pedagogical adaptation of migrant children to the educational space, unlike the adaptation of all children to school, has a more complex structure, since it also includes linguistic and socio-cultural components. The social, psychological and pedagogical characteristics of migrant children require the formulation of a set of tasks for the successful adaptation of this category of children, including individual psychological and pedagogical, if necessary, psychological, medical and social support for migrant children, including using an inclusive approach. An inclusive approach is understood as creating conditions for achieving equal opportunities for all children, regardless of ethnicity, social or other affiliation, for full and active participation in the educational process. An inclusive approach is primarily needed by foreign-speaking children who need to create conditions for intensive study of Russian as a non-native language through the organization of groups or individual work with a child. At the same time, it is necessary to create an individual curriculum for such a child, which will allow individualizing the process of his learning. The plan adjusts the hours for the passage of certain topics, options for their study, and also determines measures for the socio-cultural adaptation of the child. An important component of the successful adaptation of migrant children are the features of the educational space itself. Only if a tolerant consciousness is formed among teachers, students and parents, it is possible for migrant children to successfully adapt.

Keywords: adaptation, maladaptation, socio-pedagogical adaptation, migrant children, adaptation of migrant children to the educational space.
