EFFECTIVENESS OF THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE CADET EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION: THE PROBLEM OF ASSESSMENT

Abstract. The educational space is one of the most significant factors in the upbringing of the cadet. The values and meanings of future military service, the resources of self-determination, self-realization and self-development of the individual, value-meaning exchange with a significant senior, interaction with peers and collectives – all this appears before the pupil in a specially organized environment. Despite the fact that teachers and pupils do a lot for the development of the educational environment, this activity does not find an adequate assessment. There are no common criteria and indicators, there are not enough special tools, but there are certain stereotypes of assessment. For example, for many people, an effective educational environment is a rich environment in which there are many means of learning and personal development. It is believed that a lot of finance should be invested in an effective educational environment. Of course, costs and resources are critically important, but material and financial assessment is not always adequate to real educational effects. The use of an environmental approach in the development of cadet education means special design, calculation and organization of educational environments where there is a planned effect. The author proposes such a comparative characteristic of the educational environment as efficiency. Efficiency is a comparison of cost and result. We reviewed the articles that use the concept of “efficiency.” Two types of effects are described: objective (filling and organization of the educational environment) and subjective (use by each cadet of values and meanings, resources of the environment). The materials of the article can be used in the study of the problems of the development of the educational environment of educational organizations, as well as to assess the practical activities of teachers and pedagogical teams.
