Abstract. The article reflects the theoretical foundations of intensifying the training of foreign military personnel in the Russian language based on electronic didactic tools in military universities of the Russian Federation. Special attention is paid to the fact that electronic didactic tools are currently an obligatory element in the educational process, and this is due, among other things, to the characteristics of the modern generation of students. The article examines various definitions of the concept of “intensification of training,” which are similar to each other, and formulates a definition of the process based on a comparative and conceptual analysis. The article identifies the characteristics of modern students and their cognitive features, the specifics of teaching Russian as a foreign language at a military university’s preparatory course, and the reasons for the need to intensify the teaching of Russian to foreign military personnel. The theoretical foundations of the study are based on the analysis of its systemic components. The article reveals the functions of intensifying the training of foreign military personnel (educational, educational, developmental), patterns and general didactic principles (scientific, systematic, systematic and consistent, conscious and clear, accessible and feasible, creative activity of students, individualization of training, the strength and prospects of knowledge, skills and abilities, the connection of theory with practice, continuity of the process under consideration. The article substantiates the main pedagogical ways to increase the effectiveness of the process of intensifying the training of foreign military personnel in the Russian language based on electronic didactic tools. It is concluded that the intensification of the training of foreign military personnel in the Russian language based on electronic didactic tools is currently an urgent problem in the theory and practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the context of the rapid development and spread of electronic educational resources in universities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
