Abstract. In modern conditions of global turbulence, it is very important to strengthen partnerships with countries that have historically collaborated with Russia. Education is an institution that promotes the popularization of the Russian language and Russian culture and forms a loyal attitude towards our country. This paper analyzes the areas of cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the field of education. Based on the author’s research conducted in May 2024 in Vietnam, the attitude of Vietnamese youth to receiving education in Russia is examined. The novelty of the study lies in the consideration of the reasons for receiving Russian education among Vietnamese youth, as well as in the assessment of the activities carried out by Rossotrudnichestvo in the humanitarian field. The results of a study conducted in the format of an online survey show that Russian education attracts a significant number of Vietnamese youth, but it should be noted that residents of the northern provinces of Vietnam are more focused on it. Data analysis revealed that the main reasons why young people choose to study in Russia are the opportunity for free education under an allocated quota, the presence of relatives and friends living in our country, as well as interest in Russian culture. It is also important to note that despite the fact that Rossotrudnichestvo is the main institution through which educational migration between our countries takes place, only every tenth respondent named it as an organization that promotes the development of cooperation in the educational field. Thus, we can conclude that Vietnamese youth do not know enough about the communication channels that facilitate obtaining education in Russia. The authors conclude that cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the field of education has great potential.
