Abstract. The author of the article draws attention to the problems of digitalization, digital transformations of society and education, which are becoming necessary in the modern world and strategic goals of the state policy of the Russian Federation. The author of the article shows the process of transformation of society and all its spheres of life and activity on the basis of an appeal to the ideas of media pedagogy, its implementation in the educational process in higher education, the experience of using interactive, gaming and digital technologies, digital educational resources in education for first, second, and second grade students is considered. third and fourth year students in the implementation of socio-humanitarian disciplines at the Tula State Pedagogical University named after. L.N. Tolstoy. The author of the article considers his own experience of introducing media pedagogy into the educational process. To introduce media pedagogy and use its potential in the educational process, the author of the article developed original quests, crosswords (quest crosswords), multimedia presentations for lectures, and compiled lists of questions for educational videos. The review is based on the classification of work done, developments completed and experience gained: 1) Quests using multimedia presentations. 2) Crosswords (quest crosswords) using multimedia presentations and demonstration of videos. 3) Digital educational resources (DER) and media pedagogy. The most important characteristics of each direction of development are highlighted, the potential for the formation of the most important and sought-after skills and professional competencies of each author’s development described in the article is identified. The author of the article believes that the introduction of media pedagogy into the educational process is valuable both for teachers themselves and for students, since media pedagogy has great potential.
