Abstract. The article discusses the concept of professional deformation. It is noted that excessive development of deformation is dangerous because it has a destructive effect on the psychological state of the individual. Under the influence of the negative impact of professional deformations, an individual can not only completely quit engaging in this type of professional activity, but also fall into a deeper mental disorder. The authors of the article examine various manifestations of professional deformations among teachers of preschool educational institutions. Such manifestations include emotional burnout, professional stress, reactive and personal anxiety. Gradually increasing symptoms of emotional burnout are experiencing traumatic circumstances, dissatisfaction with oneself, a feeling of being “caged in a cage,” anxiety and depression, inadequate selective emotional response, emotional and moral disorientation, expansion of the sphere of saving emotions, reduction of professional responsibilities, emotional deficit, emotional detachment, depersonalization, psychosomatic and psychovegetative disorders. Separately, such manifestations of professional deformations as the formation of professional stress, as well as reactive and personal anxiety are considered. The empirical part of the study presents the results of diagnosing all of the above manifestations of professional deformations among kindergarten teachers. The diagnostic results showed that in the study group, the majority of teachers showed signs of emotional burnout of varying degrees of severity. Most of the subjects had stress levels above normal. In addition, a large number of respondents have moderate and high reactive and personal anxiety.
