Abstract. Educational activities formed today are not able to provide significant assistance in the formation of positive motivation in younger students for a healthy lifestyle, awareness of the value of health, physical activity. The efforts of parents and teachers relate, first of all, to the didactic component, i. the formation of a large amount of academic knowledge among students, losing sight of the fact that health is the main value in human life, that only a healthy person can, mainly, become the master of his own destiny to some extent, create and create, transform the world around him, bring benefits society. Recognizing the strengthening and preservation of the health of the younger generation as a priority task of the state’s social policy, WHO understands human health not only as the absence of diseases, but also means the full mental, physical, moral and social well-being of the population. Having a latent, dynamic form, very often the disease does not manifest itself in pronounced symptomatic sensations for the time being, since when determining the physical state of a person, medicine does not see a clear line between human health and illness. This allows us to consider the problem of the formation of a value-motivational attitude in younger schoolchildren to a healthy lifestyle to be extremely relevant at the present time. The author of the article proves the thesis that in order to successfully form students’ positive motivation for a healthy lifestyle, teachers and parents need to know about the potential capabilities of the child’s body, the characteristics of his nervous system, and the role of external influences on the personality. However, in practice, it turns out that both parents and teachers give preference, first of all, to successful studies, participation in creative events, subject Olympiads, exemplary behavior, while forgetting that for a person at any age, especially in childhood, there is no more important health nothing, but health can be strengthened and maintained through a healthy lifestyle.
