Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the organization of educational activities in an educational institution of the same sex type. The aim of the study is to develop scientific provisions and methodological support for the organization of educational activities in an educational institution of the same sex type, taking into account the characteristics of students. The object of the research is the system of educational work in educational institutions of vocational education. The subject of the research is the organization of educational activities, taking into account the characteristics of the same-sex group. When conducting the study, the authors used methods of activity analysis, document analysis, sociological survey and comparative data analysis. Based on a survey of 40 students of the Sverdlovsk Male Choral College, the authors studied the values of life; satisfaction with the conditions created in the college for the development of creative potential; orientation towards professional development; experience of socially active activity; level of goal setting. When interviewing 106 people (teachers, students and their parents), the authors determined the impact of the events held at the College on the formation of general competencies. The results obtained allowed us to conclude that when planning educational activities in college, it is necessary to take into account: the interests of all participants in the educational process; provide the opportunity to participate in college activities for each student, depending on his skills and needs; analyze the repertoire of cultural institutions offered to students; develop a volunteer movement in the direction of the professional interests of students; improve the preparation and conduct of sporting events. Based on the results of the study, we proposed the Concept of the educational activities of the College. The research results can be used in the development and implementation of social technologies, their scientifically based recommendations for the education of young people in schools and organizations.
