Abstract. Pedagogical heritage, as an important layer of society’s cultural heritage and a significant part of its educational resources, allows us to consider it a unique development strategy for the region and the state as a whole. It embodies centuries of accumulated experience in education and training, reflects the evolution of pedagogical ideas and practices, and serves as a link between generations, transmitting key values and norms. Preserving historical and cultural heritage has long been a priority for society, representing a social imperative for education, upbringing, and culture. This task is particularly relevant in the context of globalization and rapid sociocultural change, when the risk of losing distinctive traditions and eroding value orientations increases. Understanding the values of national culture as the foundation of education and educational strategy allows us to sense the inviolability of the foundations of cultural and educational traditions, the values of our region, our small homeland. National culture shapes the ideological foundation of the educational process, determines its goals and substantive emphases, and reliance on it fosters civic identity and patriotism. Without knowledge of the sociocultural characteristics of their region, its pedagogical traditions, and moral values, the leader of both an individual educational institution and the region as a whole will be unable to fully address the challenges of preserving Russia’s pedagogical and cultural traditions. Such knowledge is essential for developing effective management decisions that take into account the local context, the specific sociocultural environment, and historically established models of interaction between school, family, and community.
Keywords: moral values, pedagogical traditions, cultural identity of the region, additional professional education, socio-cultural features of the region.
