Abstract. The intensification of relations between man and nature has pushed ecology from among the biological sciences to the position of a broad interdisciplinary complex, including natural, technical and social sciences. The purpose of the article is to consider the features of the formation of ecological culture through literary creativity, which becomes not just a general–development supplement, but a full-fledged tool for the implementation of educational tasks. In the course of greening the content of education, an attitude towards positive emotions is implemented: priority is given to positive examples of the perception of the natural environment by the heroes of literary works. Ecology is a broad interdisciplinary scientific complex. Along with the issues of the relationship between organisms and environmental conditions, she considers the problems of rational use of natural resources, social interaction (human and environment). It is important to consider different sections of ecology in a comprehensive manner. It is generally accepted that ecology intersects with biology, geography, chemistry, and physics, but humanities, including literature, play an important role. Literature, unlike direct contact with nature, not only shows it, but also teaches to see and empathize with it. So, immersing yourself in the works of Russian classics, you can find yourself among a dense mixed forest and feel its grandeur, density and scale; on the banks of a river with swaying willows, you can feel peace and tranquility.; Experience the joy of starting to wake up in a morning field with singing birds. Only immersion in such voluminous emotional images can evoke a response of warm and positive feelings inside a person. Geography also makes a great contribution to the aesthetic education of schoolchildren, considering in school courses of this subject various phenomena of nature and landscape described in literary works, the teacher has the opportunity to reveal their aesthetic side through various artistic means. It should be noted that the subject of geography, along with history and literature, plays an important role in the patriotic, local history and aesthetic education of schoolchildren. The use of fragments from literary works helps the student to see beauty, appreciate it and learn to cherish it.
Keywords: spiritual culture, literature, geography, local history, geographical education, ecological culture, literary works about nature.
