Abstract. The effectiveness of the implementation of the vocational educational trajectory “school – university – work” in modern society largely depends on the social partnership “educational organization – employer”. The purpose of this work is to analyze employers’ perceptions of the “school–university – work” professional and educational trajectory in modern Russia. The main research method is a survey (interview) of experts from senior management, managers, and employees of human resources services of organizations. The survey was conducted during the implementation of a research project on the thematic plan of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation “Organization and conduct of comprehensive sociological research of youth (aged 14-35 years)” on the topic “University is a place for realizing the potential of youth. The ecosystem “school – university – work”, implemented in 2022 by the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. According to the results of the study, it is shown that experts record the variability of educational trajectories “school – work”. It has been determined that higher education is no longer an obligatory element of professional and educational trajectories. The positive and negative sides of the system of higher and secondary specialized education are revealed in the opinions of experts. The reasons for the lack of demand for targeted recruitment mechanisms in the recruitment of young professionals by employers have been identified.

Keywords: professional and educational trajectory, school, university, job, employers.
