Abstract. This article shows the role of material systematization for compiling a complete geographical characterization of the study area. A series of nature maps of Karmaskalinsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan is also given. In order to study your region, you can use various maps: geomorphological, hydrological, soil, landscape, geobotanical and others. The tasks of the current territorial mapping include: to study and protect the nature of the native land, to develop the experience of the researched activity, to carry out patriotic education. Undoubtedly, local lore is engaged not only in the collection of information alone, but also in the rethinking of the obtained data. At the end of research, the material will be processed and applied in educational activities. The collected information can be used both in lessons at school and in extracurricular activities. The work on collecting and systematizing the material is important for educational and scientific organizations, as well as for the residents of the district. Such work helps to reveal and subsequently develop children’s creative abilities to organize scientific activities. Children in the researcher’s position discover connections and patterns in the surrounding world, learn to put forward and prove their ideas, and also acquire new knowledge for processing the collected material. In the study area there are many natural objects that are unique and inimitable. Residents of the district take care of the sights, conduct excursions and familiarize the younger generation with interesting objects of nature of their neighborhood. Each locality has its own features: type of relief, climatic characteristics, water resources, etc. Studying an individual locality, we familiarize ourselves with its peculiarities and establish natural uniques.
