Abstract. The trends of social development set the task of forming an individual who possesses a sum of knowledge, methods of activity, and a system of values that would allow them to adapt to the local socio-natural environment and the changing economic situation, and prepare them to perform the social functions necessary in the region. Throughout history, the teacher has been the central figure responsible for shaping people’s thinking in favor of solving the problems of their homeland and fostering a love for it. The entire future society of adults has passed through the school, through the teacher and their ideas, understanding, and vision of the world. This places a special responsibility on teachers of all subjects for the future of the country’s society, but teachers of history and geography play a particularly important role. Studying one’s own homeland allows students to develop personal qualities such as being proactive, defending their point of view, generating new ideas, developing projects, and constantly expanding their horizons. The entire surrounding reality becomes a visual material for the development of a child’s thinking abilities. The foundation of the modern educational process is based on the principle of the dialectical unity of three principles: national, regional, and global, which allows for a deep sense of belonging to one’s native people while also recognizing oneself as a citizen of the country and a subject of global civilization. The humanitarian space is a complex and multifaceted social reality that is both spiritual and practical, and it exists in various aspects of society. It is expressed in socio-humanitarian knowledge and involves the “processing” and ennoblement of people according to the “laws of goodness and beauty,” their spiritual world, actions, deeds, and behavior.
