Abstract. The article reveals the concept of “self-organization”, the content of which has been the subject of study in such sciences as philosophy, synergetics, psychology, and pedagogy. From the point of view of pedagogy, self-organization of students is considered not as an innate personality quality, but as acquired in the educational process. This quality, on the one hand, determines the success of training, including professional training, and on the other hand, determines the personal development of the student. Self-organization should be considered as a set of skills and abilities that allow you to effectively manage your time, optimize work, including training, plan activities and monitor their results. Self-organization can be seen in many aspects of life: health, family, work, study, and recreation. The article pays special attention to the formation and development of self-organization in primary school age: the search for effective means and forms of developing self-organization in younger schoolchildren as a quality necessary for the further personal development of the student. The article reveals the components of self-organization of primary school students, which relate not only to the ability to plan activities (setting goals, choosing ways to achieve them), but also to metacognitive skills, that is, the ability to be aware of their own cognitive processes. Various methods of self-organization formation are proposed: from game exercises and project activities to more serious self-management techniques adapted to the age characteristics of a younger student. The author substantiates the important role of self-organization of primary school students for their harmonious personal development, academic success and further life in a complex and dynamic modern world.
