Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the problem of the formation of linguistic and linguistic competencies of students – future teachers in the context of bilingualism. Modern society makes high demands on the competence of specialists, in particular, on the speech-thinking activity of university graduates, since the further development of market relations in the country in the context of integration processes on an international scale actualizes the need for the formation of linguistic and linguistic competencies of specialists in any field. The mastery of the designated competencies by students is a multifaceted and multifaceted process, since it requires a thorough study of many of the most important scientific and pedagogical problems associated with the analysis and specification of the concepts of “linguistic competence” and “linguistic competence” the basis of speech-thinking activity of students – future teachers. Speech activity, active business communication skills, communication skills are not only linguistic categories, but also universal values. The relevance of the problem put forward in the article was confirmed in such regulatory documents of the state level as: Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education, Federal Target Program “Russian Language for 2016-2020”. As the expected final results in the listed documents, they put forward the provision of information coverage of the state’s activities to strengthen the position of the Russian language – as the state language, as well as the native language – as a national language in the conditions of a national region; creation of infrastructure to facilitate the expansion of cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational and linguistic and regional cooperation; development and implementation of the necessary pedagogical conditions for the successful linguistic and linguistic development of students.
