Abstract. Article considers essence and content of the professional communicative culture of a designer. The set of socio pedagogical conditions needed for development of designer’s professional communicative basis is identified. The professional and communicative culture of the designer acts as part of his professional culture, which is a qualitative characteristic of the designer’s personality, which reflects the daily life of his productive communicative manifestation, which provides knowledge of the needs of the designer products market, its aesthetic tastes and the successful presentation of its aesthetically rich products on the labor market. Author offered its own definition of designer’s professional communicative culture; considered external and internal culture of a designer, identified and gave ground for the creative part of designer’s professional communicative culture. The article considers designer’s job profile diagram. It is amounted to description of particularities and specifics of the profession, as well as requirements for designer. Designer’s professional responsibilities, which develop under conditions of academic institution, are defined. Professional specialization of the future designer, which considered as a process of development of necessary significant social and professional personal qualities, form of inclusion into the professional community of cultural and art workers and into the socio cultural processes in general, is undertaking in the process of education. Author believes that socio cultural environment for development of designer’s professional culture should be created in frames of the educational process. The result of professional training in the college of future designers is the formation of the foundations of a professional and communicative culture, which should be further developed in the independent work of a graduate in the process of professional and personal self-improvement.
