Abstract. The article addresses the problem of improving the use of modern information technologies by heads of training teams of local internal affairs agencies of the Russian Federation in the preparation and conduct of vocational training. The main objective of the work is to identify and clarify the main paths and pedagogical conditions increasing the motivation to use them in the educational process in the hands of those conducting the training. The author, on the basis of a personal and social action approach, conducts research into the theory and practice of posed question through content analysis of scientific sources, included performance monitoring and analysis of training managers and justifies both proven and possible ways to increase their motivation to use of modern information technologies as a critical factor in improving staff training of local internal affairs agencies in general. In the analysis of key issues of concern, the author clarifies the essential characteristic of the development of motivation among leaders training of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on one of the most topical topics, the use of modern information technologies in the training process and options for sequential solutions are proposed. The article draws on research carried out in a number of local Ministry of Internal Affairs bodies of Russian Federation during the period of 2013 to the present. Some have been used and are being used in training and guidance of training team leaders. The author in scientific articles and training manuals publishes the most significant results of the research, which used in instructional sessions with them.
