Abstract. The relevance of this study lies in the fact that young people have the resources and capabilities to transfer and preserve the constancy of the political system. The functioning of electoral socialization of youth in societies of the same type as in the Russian Federation is combined with variable approaches to the term “youth”. In the electoral system, the concept of “youth” is identical to the concept of “future and young voters”, since the main purpose of their education is the realization of active and passive suffrage. The article examines: the place of election commissions in the system of state youth policy, a set of measures implemented by regional election commissions (using the example of the Election Commission of the Ryazan region) and aimed at educating and legally educating young people – future and young voters, especially students of schools, colleges and universities, as well as a feedback mechanism that allows you to adjust programs and the content of measures aimed at eliminating legal deficits among young people and increasing the effectiveness of legal education in the electoral sphere. Using the example of the work of the Election Commission of the Ryazan region in the field of information and explanatory activities, the educational function is shown, which is implemented in the electoral system through legal education of young people. The Election Commission of the Ryazan Region implements a set of activities aimed at different groups of future and young voters – schoolchildren and students, involving them in the electoral process through participation in festivals, contests, Olympiads, exhibitions, excursions and other events. Every year, more than three thousand future and young voters participate in legal education events for young people, many of whom continue their educational activities in schools, colleges and universities together with youth election commissions, reaching an even larger percentage of young people.
Keywords: future and young voters, education, election commission, electoral system, youth, legal education.
