THE ROLE OF PRIVATE SCHOOL IN THE MODERN SYSTEM OF RUSSIAN SCHOOL EDUCATION [In English]

Abstract. The article refers to the problem of the modernisation of the Russian system of school education, with private schools being an essential factor of its sustainable development.The purposeof the proposed research is to analyse the role of private school in the modern system of Russian school education.The set of research methods applied in the study include: theoretical thematic analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, systematization and generalization of the findings of the latest scientific publications, socio-cultural analysis, the method of qualitative content analysis, complex structural and functional analysis of the results obtained.As a resultof the undertaken comprehensive analysis, the pedagogical specifics of the role of private schools in the modern system of Russian school education were identified highlighting the most essential ones; the complex state-public influence was defined as a basic factor in forming the current role of the private school sector in the system of Russian school education. The practical advantage of the paper is that it proposes findings and materials useful in the evaluation and analysis of the educational performance of modern private schools, in planning and organizing their pedagogical process, in designing educational tactics and strategies. The novelty of the proposed research lies in introducing the new information into the pedagogical scientific discourse, including the analytics of modern private schooling in Russia, the findings obtained by the authors on the basis of analysis of the latest pedagogical materials and scientific papers,published in the period up to 2025.
