Abstract. This paper outlines key educational trends and their influence on the development of mentoring amid the rapid integration of digital technologies and the globalization of educational spaces. It explores the role of reverse mentoring as a form of volunteerism in professional contexts. Reverse mentoring is defined as a modern, productive approach to fostering digital literacy within the context of academic mobility. The relevance of this study is driven by the need to adapt both students and educators to digital challenges in contemporary settings. The aim of this work is to analyse reverse mentoring methods and their impact on enhancing the digital competencies of participants in academic exchanges. A narrative essay method is employed to facilitate reflective understanding of the experiences of reverse mentoring participants. The study describes personal, professional, and cultural changes in digital literacy resulting from the mentoring interactions. Results indicate that reverse mentoring effectively promotes the exchange of digital skills across generations, improving adaptation and interaction within academic environments. The implementation of reverse mentoring in education requires consideration of the ethno-cultural characteristics of the participants. Special attention is given to forming sustainable partnerships between educational institutions in different countries, which creates conditions for the integration of innovative educational practices and the development of intercultural communication. The conclusions emphasize the importance of implementing reverse mentoring to enhance digital literacy and foster successful partnerships between universities, countries, and generations. Furthermore, reverse mentoring is considered an effective tool for increasing the flexibility of educational strategies and adapting to the rapidly changing demands of the digital environment.

Keywords: reverse mentoring, academic mobility, digital literacy, volunteering in professional activities, higher education.
