Abstract The article examines the possibilities and challenges of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the modern education system. The prospects of using AI to improve the quality of educational processes, automate administrative tasks, and personalize educational material are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the integration of AI into pedagogical practice, its impact on student motivation and the development of critical thinking. The main problems that arise when introducing AI technologies into education are considered, such as ensuring data confidentiality, preventing abuse, and creating conditions for equitable access to technology. The ethical aspects of using AI are also discussed, including issues of responsibility for the results of automated systems and the impact on the formation of students’ value orientation. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that the successful integration of AI into the education system is possible only with an integrated approach that includes the development of regulations, improving the digital literacy of teaching staff and taking into account the specifics of various academic disciplines. The article will be useful for researchers, educators, and information technology professionals interested in developing modern educational practices. The possibilities provided by artificial intelligence in education are considered: personalization (adaptive) learning, interactive learning, automation, support for inclusive learning. The positive and negative sides of AI in education are considered. Against the background of research, challenges arise in the implementation of AI in education. The article highlights the main problems: data privacy, equal access, errors in the AI algorithm, correctness and transparency of the AI algorithm, bias and discrimination in the evaluation of the AI algorithm. One of the important challenges is to adhere to ethical principles.
Keywords: education, training, artificial intelligence, learning platforms, innovative pedagogical methods, automation of the educational process, ethics of AI in education, teaching and AI.
