DIGITALIZATION OF BUSINESS: RUSSIAN AND FOREIGN EXPERIENCE

Abstract. The strategic development of the national economy in the context of global transformation, which corresponds to current trends, is largely due to the degree of development of business digitalization, focused on the introduction of innovative technologies. Digitalization of business in the long term requires market participants to adhere to a policy of constant innovation and innovation. To achieve higher results of digitalization of domestic business, it is advisable to use foreign experience of digitalization. The purpose of this article is to review the foreign and Russian experience of business digitalization. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to study the priority areas of digital transformation of Russian business, as well as to analyze the experience of foreign countries for the results of their activities in this area. During the research, we used a generalization of theoretical material on selected issues, and analyzed factual data from open sources. In studying this issue, attention is paid to the personnel support of the process of digitalization of business structures formed by higher educational institutions of the it orientation. The article presents the ranking of countries on the business digitalization index for countries in 2019, in which Russia is far from the leading position, significantly lagging behind foreign participating countries. This index is calculated based on the following indicators: level of broadband Internet usage; level of cloud services usage; level of RFID technologies usage; level of ERP systems usage; involvement in e-Commerce. Despite Russia’s low position in the international rating, there are strategic prospects for positive growth dynamics of business structures that use modern digital technologies in their activities to gain competitive advantages.
