ORGANIZATION OF PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE PROPAEDEUTICS FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract. The article addresses problems involved in early language professionalization of university students. The author analyzes and synthesizes theoretical research and practical experience, and further substantiates the necessity of professional language propaedeutics as a complex course providing an introduction to the language of the profession, describes its composition and the professionally relevant competences build in the process of language training. As a result of the study, the author comes to the following conclusion regarding the organization of professional language propaedeutics in a modern university: all identified didactic and methodological components (availability of educational professional language discourse; reliance on interdisciplinary connections; substantive part; communicative orientation; understanding which are professionally significant competencies are formed in the process of the NTP; the readiness of teachers and students for the NTP; relevance for the formation of professional identity of students, etc.), in their organic aggregate, create the conditions and prerequisites for the formation of a sufficiently high-quality educational language discourse, in which professional linguistic propaedeutics of international economists. In addition to the indicated, the competencies formed at the stage of early language propaedeutics during the prospective study of a foreign language, lay a fairly solid foundation for basic language professionalization in senior courses of higher education.
