Abstract. The issues of the need to form a culture of inter-ethnic communication and interaction among customs specialists in terms of their professional training at the university are considered. The authors present the result of a thorough analysis of the scientific literature, revealing the degree of elaboration of the problem of this study; substantiate the need to form a culture of international communication among customs specialists in the context of university training and the peculiarities of the manifestation of culture of international communication by specialists. It is believed that the objective disclosure of the essence of the designated problem is possible only with a deep analysis of its various components, in particular: the sociocultural situation in the world community; understanding the nature of ethnic confrontations and conflicts; clarification of the essence and content of the basic concepts of the study – “culture of international communication” and “culture of international communication of customs specialists”. Represent the results of solving problems of determining the role of culture of international communication in the professional skills of customs specialists; peculiarities and level of manifestation of the culture of international communication among customs specialists; identifying and justifying the criteria and indicators for assessing the manifestation of culture of international communication among customs specialists; development of a model of forming a culture of international communication among customs specialists and the technology of its implementation in the course of their professional training at the Russian Customs Academy.
