Abstract. The article notes the relevance of the development of domestic youth tourism in the Siberian region, as a means of harmonious development of the younger generation, implemented in the form of well-organized recreation and socially useful activities that are attractive to young people. A characteristic component of youth tourism are diverse and well-organized trips in the form of excursions, expeditions, trips, etc. Attention is paid not to the development of domestic youth tourism in the Novosibirsk region, it is proposed to implement a social project “Over the Siberian Drive or a Journey through the Great Cities of Transsib”, which aims to increase the cultural and educational level and the development of patriotism among Russian youth. The authors came to the conclusion that today an important task is the need to intensify processes aimed at implementing social youth policy, which are associated with the development of domestic children’s youth tourism, promoting and improving the quality of youth sports and tourism activities, promoting healthy lifestyle environment, creating optimal conditions for young people to travel, both within their own country and abroad.
