Abstract. The article deals with the current problem of the formation of a constructive civil position among high school students participating in the military-patriotic movement. The author analyzes the upheavals that occurred in the 90s with our society and led to the fall of moral and spiritual values, and as a result, had a significant impact on the formation of a constructive civic position among senior schoolchildren. The work carried out by the government and state institutions of power is aimed at developing the military-patriotic movement in the country, as this has an impact on the number of young people with a constructive civil position, and this in turn affects the stability of the state. The author analyzes the psychological portrait of a senior student, as it depends on what forms and methods should be used to work with him to form a constructive civic position. The work on the formation of a constructive civil position with senior schoolchildren participants of the Krasnodar Children’s Military – Patriotic Association “SCOUT” is considered. Viktor Kibenko was compared with ordinary schoolchildren who do not participate in the military-patriotic movement. The authors came to the conclusion that a well-organized and conducted work has a significant impact on the formation of a constructive civic position among older students. The number of schoolchildren with a more pronounced civil position is higher than that of schoolchildren who do not participate in the military-patriotic movement, but the number and level of education do not differ much from ordinary schoolchildren.
