Abstract. The article deals with socio-pedagogical aspects related to the technology of social counseling for young families in a regional settlement. The majority of Russian young families in a situation of social risk are faced with the need to choose ways to solve the most significant social problems for them from a variety of possible options. At the same time, as real practice shows, such families often lack their own knowledge, experience, up-to-date information, social support and support. In such cases, socially disadvantaged young families seek help from domestic social service centers, which are an important condition and factor in their present and future well-being. In the logic of the goals and objectives of the study, the basic concepts of the study “young family”, “technology of social counseling” are subjected to a thorough analysis, their essence and content are revealed; describes the organization of social counseling for young families in the Shchigrovsky Interdistrict Center for Social Assistance to Families and Children, Kursk Region; appropriate recommendations are being developed for social workers to improve the process of interpersonal intra-family communication and mutual support in young families. As a result of the study, the authors came to the firm conviction that the organization of social family counseling should be based, first of all, on a family-centered approach, which provides not for the provision of ready-made and (or) directive projects for solutions to any social problem of the family, but assistance and careful support of the process of joint development by family members of the most suitable and socially acceptable ways and options for resolving conflict and problem situations.

Keywords: the young family, social counseling, the social work technology.
