Abstract. This article focuses on the development of a comprehensive methodology for teaching students how to work with English loanwords in German business communication. The relevance of this research stems from the intensive influx of Anglicisms into contemporary German business discourse and the lack of adequate methodological coverage of this aspect in existing educational curricula. The author analyzes traditional approaches to studying borrowed vocabulary and identifies the primary shortcomings of current methodologies: the rote memorization of terms without regard for contextual nuances, the absence of systematic engagement with authentic materials, and the failure to acknowledge the morphological variability and dynamic nature of Anglicisms. This research has enabled the development of a comprehensive methodology for teaching English loanwords in German business communication—a methodology that meets modern requirements for the professional training of specialists destined for the international business environment. The article proposes a three-tier system of exercises comprising stages for the recognition and classification of Anglicisms, contextual semanticization, and active application in professional scenarios. This methodology is grounded in the principles of functionality, contextual relevance, and a communicative orientation toward instruction. Criteria have been established for assessing the development of both receptive and productive skills regarding the use of loanwords; furthermore, methodological guidelines are offered to instructors regarding the organization of the learning process—including the use of current corporate materials, the sequencing of lexical unit introduction, and a system for monitoring mastery. Particular emphasis is placed on fostering sociocultural competence and facilitating effective intercultural professional communication within the international business arena. Future prospects for the methodology’s development involve the creation of digital educational resources, the expansion of the corpus of authentic materials, and the adaptation of these approaches for distance learning; additionally, future research will investigate the methodology’s efficacy in teaching Anglicisms within other domains of the German language, thereby potentially contributing to the formation of a comprehensive system for teaching borrowed vocabulary.
