THE PEDAGOGICAL METHODOLOGY OF M.V. LOMONOSOV

Abstract. Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov is a great Russian scientist, his pedagogical views and methods were inextricably linked with his scientific worldview and his desire to raise Russia to the level of the leading European powers through education. Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov is rightfully considered the founder of Russian scientific pedagogy, his contribution to pedagogical science, although it was never presented in the form of a single systematic concept, had a significant impact and was the foundation on which the Russian education system was subsequently built. His pedagogical ideas, revolutionary for their time, were of great historical importance and effectively contributed to the formation and development of the secular education system in Russia. This article is devoted to the analysis of M.V. Lomonosov’s pedagogical methodology, which still retains its exceptional importance and is the subject of research by many scientists. His pedagogical ideas, as we have determined, remain relevant today, especially in the context of the modernization of the educational system and the formation of a holistic scientific picture of the world among students. The pedagogical methodology of M.V. Lomonosov is a phenomenon of state thought, an integral concept of social development through education. M.V. Lomonosov’s pedagogical methodology is an effective combination of universality of knowledge, humanistic ideals, accessibility of education, visibility, naturalness and practical orientation of education. M.V. Lomonosov rightly saw education as the main force of social progress and development of each individual, he put education at the service of society, creating a scientific basis for a strong and independent Russia.
