Abstract. The relevance of this study stems from the increasing influence of the media environment on educational and social processes in the context of the digitalization of society. Modern students are constantly exposed to a flood of information, which requires developing critical perception skills, the ability to resist disinformation, and effectively interact in the digital environment. The aim of this article is to theoretically substantiate and analyze pedagogical technologies that contribute to the development of student media culture in the educational process at a university. Research methods include the analysis, synthesis, and generalization of domestic and international scientific sources on media culture, as well as observation, analysis of educational practices, and generalization of pedagogical experience. The article reveals the concept of “student media culture” as an integral personality characteristic, including media literacy, critical thinking, communicative and ethical components, and the ability to engage in media creativity. Based on systemic, activity-based, and axiological approaches, an analysis of the structure of media culture and the conditions for its development in the educational process at a university is presented. The study’s results demonstrated that media culture is most effectively developed through the integrated use of project-based learning, interactive learning technologies (discussions, case studies, role-playing and business games), and modern digital educational tools (video lectures, multimedia presentations, webinars, and online platforms). These methods were found to promote the development of critical thinking, analytical and interpretive skills, communication skills, and media creativity. The conclusion emphasizes the need for the integrated use of modern pedagogical technologies to foster students’ media culture as a key competency that determines their successful professional and social adaptation in a digital society.
