Abstract. In modern Russian society, the new challenges and responsibilities faced by individuals have become key factors in the country’s development. In the information age, the growing need for innovative and creative individuals places new demands on the education system. It must be focused on developing innovative thinking, independent learning, creative thinking, decision-making skills, and personal engagement. Furthermore, the education system must encourage self-realization and self-expression, helping them unlock their unique potential and recognize their own value. The development of creative abilities in younger schoolchildren is determined by the age characteristics of their mental, physical, mental and emotional development. Developing from certain inclinations, creative abilities have an individual measure of expression for each child in the ability to find non-standard, creative solutions in the current situation, and success in achieving their goals. The creative abilities of younger schoolchildren are developed under the influence of specific means: individual disciplines; training courses; direct creative activity based on interests; extracurricular activities; aimed at the diverse development of creativity. The use of IT technologies significantly affects the development of a person’s intellectual and creative abilities in different periods of his life. This is especially true for children of primary school age, since an important distinguishing feature of the development of creative abilities during this period of life is that the younger student does not passively copy the surrounding reality, but processes what he saw earlier in accordance with his own, albeit small, life experience.

Keywords: IT technologies, junior high school student, creative abilities, developmental feature, primary school age, elementary school, creative personality, creative activity, specific means, emotional improvement.
