Abstract. Computerization of all spheres of public life has contributed to a sharp increase in the flow of information. Modern geography is undergoing a revolution caused by digitalization and interdisciplinarity. Under these conditions, the educational system had to take on the functions of storing, distributing and disseminating knowledge. Today, the teacher is no longer the only source of knowledge, so he must help students to “extract” the necessary knowledge themselves and apply it when studying in geography lessons. It is also important to take into account that in the context of dynamic changes in the socio-economic situation in the country, including drastic changes in the labor market and the intensive development of new forms of economic organization, it has become necessary to modernize the education system in line with the specifics of the future profession. The article is an overview of the key presentations at the methodological seminar, which focus on the integration of relevant scientific content into the educational process to achieve meta-objective and educational goals. A wide range of topics is being discussed: from the use of literary works for civic and patriotic education and the study of global warming to form environmental awareness to the practical application of geographical knowledge in engineering research and the creation of maps using artificial intelligence. Special emphasis is placed on the potential of international facilities as educational resources for sustainable development. The article highlights the practice-oriented nature of the seminar, which included workshops and work in areas such as school tourism, cartography, and research. The proposed format of the seminar offers geography teachers to gain new knowledge and skills, and university teachers to share their experience.
