Abstract. The Russian scientific community is showing an increasing mass interest of researchers in studying methods of public administration in the field of accommodation in the era of digitalization. This is due, among other things, to the emergence of information communications such as “blogging,” Internet sites – which creates competition with traditional media. This makes it possible for management entities in some cases to rely on “unofficial” information, the sources of which are these new communications. Digital transformation based on platformization opens up new opportunities for radical restructuring and optimization of the public administration system in the Russian Federation. This study attempts to identify and scientifically substantiate the main processes of transformation of public administration of accommodation facilities in Russia in the context of the development of the digital economy. The study found that the main method of managing modern accommodation facilities is the persuasion method, while the methods of encouragement, coercion and regulation act as auxiliary and are used in combination with the key method.
