Abstract. This article comprehensively analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of pedagogical support for train drivers in training centers. The aim of the study was to address the underexplored topic of pedagogical support for train drivers in modern training centers, exploring its methodological and theoretical foundations, directions, and specific features. Pedagogical support concepts are currently actively developing in modern education. Professional support for train drivers and their assistants is traditionally aimed at developing professional training competencies and is implemented using the latest educational technologies: simulators and systems, VR technologies, operational models of electric trains on training grounds, interactive distance learning formats, etc. A review of the scientific literature revealed that applied research and personality development diagnostics are useful in providing pedagogical support for train drivers in training centers. Pedagogical support for train drivers should be implemented in two areas: the development of professionally significant competencies and personal qualities. Pedagogical support for train drivers has specific features related to supporting personal development and the development of such qualities as psychological stability, stress resistance, responsibility for one’s actions, discipline, efficiency, communication skills, attentiveness, and others. The success of pedagogical support for train drivers in training centers depends on creating positive motivation and establishing effective social partnerships.
