Abstract. The current stage of economic development, characterized by active digitalization and the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, poses new challenges for the secondary vocational education system. Therefore, the industrial training complexes (ITCs) of technical colleges are called upon not only to keep up with the times but also to become testing grounds for the advanced training of mid-level personnel. This training requires equipping the ITCs with both traditional and modern digital equipment. This article examines the role of the industrial training complex (ITC) as a structural unit of a technical college in the context of dual education. It analyzes the functions of the ITCs, their contribution to the development of students’ professional competencies and human capital, and identifies factors that contribute to the effectiveness of the ITCs as a link between theoretical training and practical work at the enterprise. Particular attention is paid to the integration of theoretical training and practical work, which facilitates deeper knowledge acquisition and the development of students’ professional skills. Examples of successful dual education programs are also considered, as well as the challenges faced by educational institutions. The article highlights the importance of collaboration between colleges and employers to optimize the learning process.
