Abstract. The article devotes to the formation of subject-related results of teaching mathematics to a certain category of students at the level of basic general education. The analysis of regulatory and legal documents on improving the quality of school mathematics education, the results of a survey conducted among mathematics teachers in the Siberian Federal District (a representative sample of more than 400 people), the results of independent forms of monitoring subject-related learning, and the establishment of a number of cause-and-effect relationships between these data have determined the relevance of this study. The article presents the author’s developed methodological approach to the formation of subject-related results in mathematics for students with the risk of academic failure by the use of gamified educational tasks at various stages of mathematics education in secondary school (author’s name). The authors formulate the definitions of the concepts «learning task» and «gamified learning task» (GLT), and identify three types of gamified learning tasks depending on whether individual educational tasks are linked by a common educational goal or by a game form for achieving a game result. The article describes main recommendations and principles for implementing the author’s methodological approach in the process of teaching mathematics at the level of basic general education, and provides the examples of author’s gamified educational tasks for use at various stages of mathematics learning (review, consolidation, etc.). The paper presents some results of the developed approach testing in general education organizations in Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk Region. The authors propose promising options for further research in the development of gamified learning activities for various grades in geometry, probability, and statistics at the basic general education level.

Keywords: mathematics teaching methodology, gamification, gamified learning tasks, subject results, and students who have difficulty learning mathematics.
