Abstract. In the context of rapid development of digital technologies, artificial intelligence is becoming a driver for the development of organizations in any field of activity. However, artificial intelligence technologies have found the greatest application in the financial sector of the Russian economy, since it is where large volumes of data are processed, the human factor is minimized, and transaction costs are reduced. The novelty is determined by a comprehensive consideration of existing and promising approaches to the implementation and use of artificial intelligence technologies in the practice of organizations in the financial sector of the national economy. To understand the degree of dissemination of artificial intelligence technologies in the financial sector, it is necessary to assess the readiness of the domestic economy to implement these solutions. In this regard, the authors assessed the index of readiness of priority sectors of the Russian economy for the implementation of artificial intelligence as of 2024. The results obtained allowed us to identify three key categories of industries: beginners, developing and leaders who are ready to implement AI solutions. The authors of the article systematized the key areas of use of artificial intelligence technologies in the financial sector: customer service, credit scoring, risk management, optimization of internal processes. The article identifies limitations that hinder the productive process of applied integration of AI technologies in the financial sector of the national economy. To overcome the identified limitations, the authors propose to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into the financial sector taking into account the balance between innovations and maintaining control over the situation by specialists. The presented research results may be relevant to a wide audience, including representatives of government agencies, the business community, as well as scientific and educational institutions.
