Abstract. This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the specific features involved in training Master’s students in the program 44.04.01 Pedagogical Education (the “Game-Based Pedagogue” educational program) at the Southern Federal University. The aim of the research is to identify and describe the key aspects of the Game-Based Pedagogue training program at the Southern Federal University, emphasizing its innovative nature and alignment with contemporary challenges in education. The research framework included an analysis of the regulatory and legal foundation, curriculum, educational technologies, and practical activities utilized in training Game-Based Pedagogues. Particular attention is paid to justifying the program’s relevance, considering current trends in the digitalization of education, the necessity of developing 21st-century competencies in graduates, and the increasing demand for game-based technologies in the educational process. The article provides an overview of theoretical approaches to understanding gamification and its role in education, as well as an analysis of the experiences in implementing Master’s programs focused on training specialists in the field of game-based technologies at leading universities worldwide. The research highlights the scientific novelty, which lies in the conceptual design of a model for training Game-Based Pedagogues. The results of testing the Game-Based Pedagogue training model in the conditions of the Southern Federal University and the prospects for further development of this direction are presented.
