FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL WORLDVIEW OF MODERN STUDENTS

Abstract. From the perspective of an essential approach, the article examines the process of forming a professional worldview of a modern student in the system of education and upbringing, which affects the formation of a future specialist who is preparing to occupy his niche in the profession after completing his studies at the university. The research focuses on the cultural potentials available in society that influence the formation of the social consciousness of modern students and their professional worldview, which determines the further trajectory of life, the success of the subject, the (self)realization of personality. The methodological outline of the article includes a list of relevant terminological explications; a description of the fundamental determinants that influence the formation of a subject’s professional worldview; a reflection on the main factors motivating a student to choose a profession; comments on a set of aspects that influence the formation of the worldview of modern students choosing a future profession; a list of principles that guide a student when choosing his profession; an analysis of social institutions and practices that shape the professional worldview of modern students. The matrix presented in the article allows us to draw a conclusion about the conceptual framework of personality-oriented and professional education available in modern conditions of higher education. In conclusion, the authors propose a number of initiatives for the successful formation of a professional worldview of modern students.
