Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the problem of personal self-efficacy of high school students as a multifaceted concept that is studied in various scientific fields. The concept of “personal self-efficacy”, based on the combination of internal incentives and external conditions of self-development, is the object of study in various scientific fields: philosophy, psychology, pedagogy, sociology. Each of these areas offers its own unique view on its nature and influence, emphasizing the importance of personal self-efficacy for various aspects of life. Despite this, the problems of personal self-efficacy in the context of modern rapid transformations associated with the introduction of digital technologies in all scientific fields are insufficiently studied, both in terms of theoretical foundations and in terms of applied use. Personal self-efficacy is considered in the article as a person’s belief in their ability to successfully cope with specific tasks to achieve their goals. This is not just optimism or self-confidence, but awareness of their capabilities and resources to achieve the desired result. As the scientific and theoretical analysis of the literature on the problem under study shows, at present, in various scientific fields there is a certain point of view on the content of personal self-efficacy. The diversity of approaches is substantiated by the fact that personal self-efficacy is a multi-level social, philosophical, psychological and pedagogical phenomenon, including taking into account the specifics of the individual’s activities. Personal self-efficacy is manifested not just as optimism or self-confidence, but as a deep conviction that the individual has the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to achieve success.

Keywords: personal self-efficacy, self-confidence, structure and content of personal self-efficacy.
