Abstract. In the modern educational process and, in particular, in preparing students for the Unified State Exam in Computer Science, information visualization plays a major role. Students work with large amounts of data, so teachers often turn to various techniques and technologies, effective tools that can intensify the educational process, accelerate perception, improve understanding and assimilation of educational information in which the student must quickly navigate, highlight the main thing and focus on it. One of these tools is visualization maps. The purpose of the study is to clarify the role and formats of using visualization maps as an effective tool for preparing for the Unified State Exam in Computer Science. The article considers one of the approaches to preparing students for the Unified State Exam in Computer Science based on visualization maps. The role of visualization maps as an effective tool for preparing students for the Unified State Exam in Computer Science based on the principle of “from complex to simple” is determined. Attention is paid to the structure of the exam and the distribution of Unified State Exam tasks by sections. The features of the range of Unified State Exam tasks in Computer Science are highlighted. Examples of developed visualization maps for the Unified State Exam tasks numbered 4, 7, 8, 11 and 14 are given, as more difficult for students to complete, a reference map is defined, containing the main theoretical material of the section “Information and its coding”. The materials presented in the article are useful for teachers of general education organizations interested in the development and analysis of personal educational results of students in the process of preparing for the Unified State Exam in computer science.
