The analysis of the factors related to the organization of methodological training of future teachers at the pedagogical university, the modern requirements of society for the training of highly qualified specialists, the introduction of new forms of certification in universities and the establishment of a number of causal relationships between these data have determined the relevance of this study. The article describes the author’s approach to the formation of the readiness of future teachers of mathematics and economics to perform the work functions outlined in the professional standard “Teacher” through the use of complex competence tasks in the teaching of methodological disciplines (author’s title). The article presents the examples of author’s complex competence tasks for use in teaching methods according to the training profile with comments. The authors show the results and analysis of the approbation of the developed approach in the training of future teachers at the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University. The authors note that the overall experience has been positive, therefore, according to the authors, it is advisable to continue developing and applying complex competence tasks in the study of methodological disciplines. Based on the results of the conducted research, the authors indicate promising options for further research in the field of labor function formation.
