Abstract. Russia is a multinational country, its territory is inhabited by various peoples with their own identity, spirituality, traditions, customs, beliefs. The task of the education system is to develop a culture of interethnic communication. Tolerance, acceptance of the values of another culture is a distinctive feature of a person of the twenty—first century. We consider it necessary to develop these qualities already in kindergarten. At preschool age, when the authority of an adult is great, the child absorbs everything new with interest. The purpose of our research is to create a model of the psychological culture of communication in a multinational group of preschool children and to test its effectiveness in practice. Materials and methods: modeling, analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the research topic, and empirical methods: formative experiment, survey, conversation, testing. A group of 23 people took part in the study, there are children from Kazakhstan, Armenia and Azerbaijan. The age of children is 6-7 years. The basis of the study was MBOU “TSO-gymnasium No. 30”. Various forms of work were used in the study: analysis of literary and artistic works (fairy tales of the peoples of the world, sayings, proverbs), holding national holidays, photo exhibitions, wall newspapers, inserting drawings of children, and active work with parents was also carried out.   After the introduction of the program, we saw positive changes in the behavior and communication of children, they began to understand the peculiarities of national costumes and holidays, became empathetic and tolerant to representatives of other cultures and religions, began to communicate more with each other and be interested in the history of their people and the history of other nationalities, the way of life of other peoples. The article is practice-oriented and can be useful for teachers, psychologists, educators.

Keywords: educator, communication culture, child, preschooler, preschool age, multinational group.
