DESIGN THINKING IN ART DESIGN EDUCATION

Abstract. Education in the field of art and design is of great importance not only in terms of acquiring knowledge and developing talent, but also in using innovations to develop art, culture and design, as well as to increase competitiveness. Design thinking is an innovative approach that helps to create user-oriented products, services, services and spaces. However, since the popularity of this method is still growing, many people mistakenly associate it with a name that does not quite accurately reflect its essence. In Russia, design thinking has not yet become as widespread as in the West. This contradiction has led to the need for a deeper analysis of the term itself and the identification of its basic principles. Even more confusion arises when design thinking is combined with the process of architectural design. In this case, the incorrect name of the method can create false expectations and lead to design thinking in architecture. Taking the concept of design thinking as a starting point, the authors in this article analyze the relationship between cultural and creative industries and design thinking, discuss the role of design thinking in the teaching process of art and design, the content and methods of teaching, and propose a new perspective for the transformation and development of art and design education.
