Abstract. The topic of family in pedagogical science and practice has always attracted the attention of researchers. The relevance of the scientific research is due to the main pedagogical problem of the family in the school space, consisting in the lack of interaction between parents with their teenage children and the educational institution. This article considers the family in the school space as a factor in the formation of student resistance. This is due to the fact that today in modern society the role of the family is incomparable in its importance with other social institutions. By forming the student’s resilience, the family promotes his self-affirmation, stimulating social, creative activity, revealing individuality. Various points of view regarding the definition of family and its impact on the student’s relationship with classmates, teachers and school administration have been considered. Analyzing such methodological approaches as systemic, behavioristic, activity-based, functional, and value-based, the styles of family education relevant in the modern family are summarized – authoritarian, demographic, and liberal, which have a significant impact on the organization of interaction between family and school. Characterizing them, the importance in the formation of student resistance has been revealed. As a research task, the author assessed the style of family education of adolescents in their understanding. This direction is also complemented by the consideration of the concepts of interaction and cooperation in a properly organized educational and educational environment. The importance of feedback in the teacher-student, teacher-parent, teacher-student-parent relationships is concretized through a single system-functional approach that provides for cooperation and comfortable interaction between participants in the educational process (parents, teachers, students) in the formation of student resistance.
