EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN THE SUBJECT AREA OF RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE USING THE MEANS OF A VIRTUAL MUSEUM

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the potential of extracurricular activities in the subject area of Russian language and literature using the means of a virtual museum. In modern educational conditions, there is a need to search for innovative approaches to learning that contribute to increasing students’ interest in the studied disciplines and the development of their creative abilities. Virtual museums, which are digital platforms, allow expanding the educational space by providing access to unique cultural and historical materials, which is especially important in the context of learning the Russian language and literature, and also increase the motivation of schoolchildren to study basic material through extracurricular activities, introducing an element of interactivity into the educational process. The article analyzes the possibilities of integrating virtual museums into education, discusses their advantages and disadvantages. Special attention is paid to methods and forms of organization of extracurricular activities aimed at deepening students’ knowledge, developing their critical thinking and ability to independently research. Examples of successful practices of using virtual museums in educational institutions are given, as well as the results of a pedagogical experiment demonstrating the positive impact of this technique on the educational motivation and academic performance of schoolchildren. In addition, the article discusses the issues of training teachers to work with virtual museums, including the need to develop their digital competence and project skills. The conclusion is made about the importance of using virtual museums as an effective tool in organizing extracurricular activities, contributing to the formation of students’ sustained interest in the Russian language and literature, as well as the development of their common cultural erudition.
